Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is where individuals in a community support local farmers by buying shares of a farmer's harvest at the start of the farming season.
By pre-selling a season's projected harvest, a farmer gets advance working capital, gains financial security, and reduces overhead through direct marketing to consumers.
By purchasing shares in a CSA program, consumers are guaranteed farm fresh produce throughout the growing season and essentially become spiritual stewards of a local farm.
Shares are sold for the farming season (June to September). The share price for the 2023 season will be finalized and published in April 2023. Currently, it is projected to be $100 per share.
By purchasing one or more shares in the 2023 harvest, you will receive farm fresh products all season long. The harvest is projected to include: tomatoes, corn, kale, peppers, and potatoes as well as a variety of other fruits and vegetables. A detailed planting and harvesting schedule will be published in April 2023.
